Certifications & Standards
Certified management systems, recognised ballistic standards and in-house verification — protection we can evidence, lot by lot.
Three certified systems
Quality, environment, and occupational health and safety are each governed by a certified management system covering the whole Sundar facility.
Quality Management Systems — governing product development, design control, inspection and the traceability of every production lot.
Environmental Management Systems — covering material handling, process emissions and waste streams across the Sundar facility.
Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems — covering press operations, the ballistic range and all plant activity.
What the numbers mean
Protection levels quoted across the TCMI range, and the threats each is tested against.
| Standard | Level | Tested against | Applied to |
|---|---|---|---|
| NIJ 0101.06 | Level IIIA | 9 mm, .44 Magnum, .357 SIG | Soft armour panels, vests, helmets, visors, shields, briefcase, blanket |
| NIJ 0101.06 | Level III | Rifle threat — ICW and stand-alone | Hard armour plates, side plates, shields |
| NIJ 0101.06 | Level IV | Armour-piercing rifle threat | SiC and Al₂O₃ ceramic hard armour plates |
| V50 | > 650 m/sec | Fragment simulating projectile | PASGT and MICH combat helmet shells |
| STANAG 2920 | 500 – 650 m/s V50 | Fragmentation | EOD / demining suit |

Tested before it ships
TCMI maintains an in-house ballistic testing facility. It supports our R&D programme and verifies production output, so a protection claim is backed by test data rather than a datasheet alone.
- In-house ballistic range supporting continuous product development.
- International laboratory certification from reputable third-party laboratories.
- Lot traceability from raw material intake to finished article.
- Tender-ready documentation issued with every consignment.
Standards & compliance FAQ
The product range is engineered and tested against NIJ 0101.06 — Level IIIA for soft armour, visors, shields, briefcases and blankets, and Level III through Level IV for hard armour plates. EOD protection is assessed for fragmentation V50 in accordance with STANAG 2920.
Yes. TCMI maintains its own ballistic testing facility, which supports the R&D programme and verifies production lots. Products are additionally certified by reputable international laboratories.
The PASGT and MICH helmet families are tested to a V50 value above 650 m/sec, alongside NIJ 0101.06 Level IIIA protection for .44 Magnum and .357 SIG.
Yes. Test certificates, compliance statements and technical documentation are prepared to accompany procurement and tender submissions. Tell us the tender reference and required format when you enquire.
